Delicious and Library Thing

I am hoping that Library Thing may help me record all the books that I have read, just needs a lot more playing with!
I can see the benefits for '"Good" or "Recommended" reads on our Wiki and Website as well especially when asked can you recommend...

I think delicious will be particularly useful for my story time activity search so I don't keep reinventing the wheel looking at the same sites for ideas.

I couldn't add the picture from flickr that I was looking at but decided to post a picture of one of my own creations to see how hard it was. Amazing what you can do when you persevere!

Podcasts

Not sure how useful but if we hear a fantastic book review we could promote the author or subject area, and maybe if there is a current event that is being discussed and we have been alerted to particularly good commentary we could pass it on to readers.

I really like that you can see the start of the video without clicking on the link. You have an idea of what it is about and how long it will run for. No loading wait time...

Twitter

Well I found out that twitter can be more useful than just knowing that you woke up and went for a walk before work! I suppose if you use it all the time it could become a good habit.. maybe...

Facebook

With all the privacy stuff I want on my facebook, I am not sure how helpful a connection with facebook will be. However, if the YPS group get more active and belong to PLWA and we want to get some specific training it could be a way of brainstorming a wish list for skills. I have to use it regularly to make it worthwhile - the chicken or the egg!
